Computer Engineering Department was established in 2008 to offer an Undergraduate program in computer engineering. The department has well equipped laboratories to support computing including Networking, , automation, multimedia, graphics, hardware. The department has implemented an intranet to facilitate training in web Technology.

Research and Consultancy of the department is focused on Evolutionary Computing in Automation, Operating Systems and Web Technology. The department has good collaboration with some of the reputed industries. The experts from the industry are invited as visiting faculty as well as for delivering lectures on specialized topics. Today the modern era of computers have not only supposed importance in the corporate world, but also are being effectively used in almost every field of human endeavor, ranging from space exploration to food processing and banking to communication etc. It has made possible to achieve excellence in software technology in the country.
